direction commands not being sent to mud |
I have had this problem every once in a while for the past few years and I figured it was about time I asked about it to see if anyone else had heard of it, or if its fixable.
I am currently using zmud version 7.21
and I have the map open most of the time.. sometimes when I get off on the wrong room on my map zmud stops sending my direction commands to the mud and I have to kind of spam through it.. so I want to get east.. so I hit east 3 times and then finally 1 goes through.
closing the map or setting my current room to the current room I am actually in fixes the problem. But it is really odd that I am typing in east and hitting enter and zmud is not sending the command to the mud.. though if I type it a few times it will send at least one of them.
Anyone heard of this issue? is it one of my darn triggers or something? |

This is honestly the first time I ever heard of this issue.

Figured out that the issue occurs when I have run a walk in safe mode that was not able to complete itself. Currently my Safe walk is set to do 15 commands at a time.. if I have it move under 15 rooms it is fine even if its not able to complete the journey. But if I have it walk over 15 rooms, the commands for the rest of the walk are never sent, and it begins to eat my direction commands until I reset it.
It only stops me from doing the direction command once.
So if I do up up. the second Up goes through. but if I do Up down up down nothing would ever happen, and the command is not even sent. I turned on local echo to confirm this and the first up does not even get echo'd to me. |

To give more information
If I go in a direction I cannot travel I have a trigger that does a #NO DIR so as to keep me in place on my map. This works fine. but if I have unwalked part of my safe walk as I mentioned before if I do up twice the first up will not go through and the second one will go through but it will not move me on my map. |

Since I figured out that having slow walk commands still cached seemed to be causing my problem I have found that a #stop command gives me back the ability to walk.. but oddly enough after I do the stop it will still try to finish off the rest of the walk that had been cached.
