Trigger to Color Text, Arm. |
Rightio. So I've been tinkering around, trying to get some color into a mud. The layout is like this:
The Firestorm Pub [E, S, U, D]
The wooden walls of this building rise up high, with large, sturdy
crossbeams in the ceiling for support. The beams are somewhat blackened,
and a few of them carry marks of flames. The only light from outside
comes through the doorway to the east. Rough bone sconces in the wall
support hold-torches which provide minimal light to the area, their
constant flickering casting shadows across the room.
A few spots on the wooden walls and floor show obvious signs from the
rage of a fire, which have been oiled over and polished into looking
almost like the natural shifts of color in the wood.
A semi-circular bar lies before the western wall, extending out from
the northwestern corner, and terminating before a large hole in the
southeastern corner. The surface of the wooden bar is flame-licked and
blackened in places, though all fire-touched spots have been oiled and
smoothed. The top of a hand-crafted wooden ladder of agafari branches
sticks out from the southeastern hole, and a faint flickering of light
can be seen from below. A large painting, hanging from a branch attached
to a piece of string, hangs behind the bar. Beside the painting a ladder
has been set into the wall and leads up to a trapdoor in the ceiling.
A wooden barstool, painted blue and purple, sits here.
The Tuluk bulletin board is here propped up on a stand.
A long-haired, violet-eyed man sits at the bar playing music.
A slim human villager sits at a table, obviously drunk.
The well-built bartender is standing here.
And it's all the same color. The mud doesn't support different colors through the default text. So essentially, I've managed to get the first portion of the room colored (title, directions) and I can get the main block of text colored simply by using the tools in zmud. But we then come down to people and that sort of thing. I remember that once upon a time I had a trigger that went something like: "*man #color purple". That works, it will color every line with the word man in it. Fair enough. But I also understand it's not the right way to do it and it colors every line with the word man in it. I know there's a different way of doing it, I just can't remember how. Essentially I just want the people I see to be colored purple. I suppose I'd have to do a trigger for each word (man, woman, child, dwarf, elf etc.) which is fine. But I'd like to know how to do it so that only one line is colored and not every word. Am I making sense?
Any help is appreciated, cheers. |
