Enablel / Disable / Show Mapper exits if variable set? |
Hi,
is it possible to enable/disable room exits on the mapper, if a specific variable is set ?
On the mud i play, you get a "seer-status" and with this status you can use portals.
These portals are all over the mud in different rooms and you can use them with "port xy" for example.
My idea is now, to add the portal to the room exit, that the speedwalk command "#walk" recognizes
the portal too, to calculate the shortest way. this works already great, but if play with an character
who has not the seer status on the same map, the speedwalks won't work anymore, because he can't
use the portals.
So now the question is, is it possible to show only the portal exits if, for example "#VAR seer 1".
Oh, btw., i can't use the Mapper portal function, because you can't port from every room. only from/in
rooms where a portal stands.

I'm afraid there is no way to turn exits on or off, in the mapper or by code. It might make an interesting feature request.

Even better would be a way of setting a function that would get called to check if the exit is usable or not, rather than having to script something to actually modifies each exit.
