[325B] Mapper room colors (Redux) [Solved] |
The border colors work now, thanks Zugg!
However, now the inner room color does not work. When one looks in the properties/color one sees the color one requested. However, the room remains colored in the default color. |

I am not able to reproduce any problem with the room colors.
I opened a session with a map and then opened the Properties window for the room. I went to the color tab in the properties and clicked on the Room Color and set it to be red. Then I clicked on another room in the map and made it green. Then I exited CMUD and reloaded and the rooms still showed the correct colors and the correct colors were still shown in the properties/color.
So I'll need a step-by-step procedure to reproduce your problem. |

Well, my procedure is exactly like yours. However, the color does not show up. In fact, when I try to edit the room color, I find that the properties box already thinks the color has been set. That is, the color box shows the color that the room was set to. However, on inspection, the database shows the color field to be NULL. Setting the color does not update the database for me. However, if I just set the border color, the column entry is updated in the database properly. Changing colors, to force a reset, still fails to update the database.

When one checks the box to have the mapper display rooms without mud vnums, the mapper masks the room color with the need-vnum color indicator.

It's just a mask. The actual room color is unchanged, and the grey will be autoreplaced as soon as the Real VNum option is set in Room Properties.

Yes, that is correct (which is the reason I could still see the color in the preferences, though I am at a loss as to where the color is stored because I don't see it in the database color column when I modify it). I should have explained it more clearly. Thanks.
