Is it possible...

Sorry if this a repeated question, I've been away from mudding for a while...
I've rebuilt my computer, installed windows 7. I've got all my old zMud stuff. I know I can't use zMud, but is there a way to transfer any of those files into a cMud client? Thanks for any help.

You should be able to run the .mud file through the package converter within CMUD.
There is also a mapconvert tool Zugg made, it should be stickied somewhere.

You do not need the mapconvert tool. Version 2.37 uses the same maps as the later versions of Zmud. If you upgrade to version 3.xx of Cmud (currently still in beta testing), it will automatically convert the map to the 3.xx map format. The mapconvert tool is only necessary to go backwards, from 3.xx to earlier versions of Cmud, or in some cases to clean up map files that have gotten certain glitches in the data.

Cmud will automatically convert sessions from later versions of Zmud to Cmud format. There are some significant differences in the coding, though, so be sure to read up on Changes for Zmud Users: http://forums.zuggsoft.com/modules/mx_kb/kb.php?mode=doc&k=2622. Even that documentation is not quite complete, so it may take a while for you to catch all the changes you need to make to have your old code work in Cmud. If you only did simple scripting, and followed the standard Zmud coding practice (rather than some of the loose syntax that Zmud allowed but shouldn't have), the changes should be fairly straightforward. Ask here if you have specific problems.

If you had a really old version of Zmud, there isn't really a way to convert the files automatically. You'd have to essentially manually recreate all your old code.
