new computer dont like old cmud |
Im trying to replace my CMUD folder in Documents/MyGames with a saved CMUD folder.
Not sure if this is the best way to restore old settings, but it has worked before.
Now it wont work at all.
Below are the bug reports I saved. These are from multiple attempts to start cmud. I only get one each time.
Basically it just gives me some message about a color not being a valid integer and then gives me the option to shut down.
If I dont shut cmud down it does nothing, I just get the little ring spinning forever indicating system busy or something.
It would take weeks to start from scratch. Please advise.

The color errors are known problems when you try running the 2.37 Public version after using any of the 3.x Beta versions. They have nothing to do with your computer setup. Try deleting the STYLES.INI and CMUD.INI files to see if that fixes those errors. The older 2.37 version just doesn't know how to read the color names used in the 3.x version.

deleted those files and got the same error at first.
then i deleted the cmudstartup.ini file and followed the prompt to upgrade to beta.
now it seems to be all peachy king.
thanks chief. |
