CMUD Beta vs Public Version |
I'm curious when a new public version will be released. The 3.17 beta for example was actually really stable. In fact I haven't used the public version in ages because the betas were more stable and had way more enhancements. My packages won't even run on the public version. While I do enjoy helping to beta test, I was curious when you planned on releasing an update to the public since the last one was way back at 2.37. I can't even really share my scripts with anyone unless they use the beta version. That's how much difference there is.

Wouldn't it mean the people you want to share the scripts with would have to buy the public 3.X version once it is released? I am curious how much the upgrade will cost.

Come on guys, you know I don't give release dates. It's released when it's ready. But the fact that I'm burning myself out releasing 10 updates within the past 2 weeks should give you a clue as to how hard I'm working on this and how much I want to release a Public version too.
Want the Public Version released sooner? Then get some friends to help with beta testing.
As far as cost of the upgrade, I have always said that the upgrade cost for people who bought the previous version more than 2 years ago would be half of the current full-version price. So you are looking at something like $14.95 for normal CMUD. A little higher for CMUDPro. After the new public version has been out for a couple of months, the prices on everything will probably increase again (it's been a long time since the last price increases). |
