administrator account issue |
Hi
I am running CMUD from a flash drive, so i could use it both on my home and work computer, while keeping all the aliases/other info i create on the way.
I had work computer reinstalled and now i don't have local admin rights anymore.
Just tried to run CMUD again, and all i got was this error
So, this is work computer, so i can not really go over to system administrator and ask him run this one programm from my flashdrive, just so i could, you know, have fun playing mud at work.
Is there any other options how to 'set up license' ? |

No there is no other way. The license system installs a module into the operating system which requires administrator rights.

So, only trying to somehow strip the executable off of license module would let me to use it?
That would be kind of uncool for a software i have bought a license for :/ |

You can't strip the executable from the license module.
You only need to have Admin privileges the first time you install/run CMUD. After that it will then run fine from a normal user account.
Sorry, but if your Admin can't install CMUD for you, then you probably shouldn't be playing MUDs from work anyway. That's an easy way to get fired. |
