#FIND Pattern |
Hi Guys,
how does the #FIND Pattern works? It worked for me with zMUD and the 2.17 CMUD Version.
I think it has something to do with the maps i created. My old mapping set the First sentence
of text as the roomname (like "You see a beatiful forest.") Now it takes the complete first
row of Text (like "You see a beatiful forest. Large rocks cover the") and the text goes on
on the second row.
Does #FIND really needs a complete match to find the room or can i manipulate the matching
to find "You see a beatiful forest.*"?
Thanks in advance

#find "You see a beatiful forest." seems like it should work according to the help file.

oh sorry maybe i really was wrong, i wanted to find my location on the map. But i tried #look and #find without parameters.
The helpfile does not say if i can manipulate it to find my location on the map if the roomname is longer then the search term... |

I believe General Stonewall is incorrect. #FIND is used without arguments, and I think the name of the room you are in has to be an exact match to the appropriate roomname stored in the map.
