[3.18c]BUG: %subchar("str1/str2,str3/str4","/,","||") (and more) no longer works |
In 3.18b and previous versions:
| Code: |
| #SAY {%subchar("{stats}64/35,61/35,65/35,65/35,58/35,65/35,100,100,100,175,165,You are Standing.,9999,771/771,589/589,1066/1066,193297,5202,23,2500,3720,9,5","/,","||")} |
would return a string list (64|35|61|35|65|35...3720|9|5).
In 3.18c, it returns nothing, and thus breaks a script of mine heavily used. :P

Edit:
Seems the same goes for:
| Code: |
| #SAY {%subregex( "0mo 0d 23:01:01", "0(?:mo|d) ")} |
which should return 23:01:01, but instead returns 0mo 0d 23:01:01.
Trying to determine the proper way to reproduce it at it's most basic root, but haven't been successful yet. |

Just tried your first examples in 3.18c blank session and both worked fine here, so something else is happening.
Keep in mind that just making something into a string with | characters is not enough to make it a "string list". You might need to use %vartype to set it to be a stringlist instead of a plain string if you are trying to use the result somewhere else as a list.
But the #SAY command you gave worked fine and outputted:
| Code: |
| str1|str2|str3|str4 |
and
| Code: |
| {stats}64|35|61|35|65|35|65|35|58|35|65|35|100|100|100|175|165|You are Standing.|9999|771|771|589|589|1066|1066|193297|5202|23|2500|3720|9|5 |
as expected
The %subregex issue I was able to reproduce and have added to the bug list. |
