mud colour issues

hi, i'm having issues with inputting the colour codes in the mud i play.

what i'm trying to imitate is this

but as you can see from the next screen shot, i seem to be losing everything after the &*

i'm not sure if there's any way to fix this. i've copied and pasted the chars that a player that uses zmud entered, and they work for him, but not for me.

any way to fix this?

thanks

1)Do you have your Color Syntax filled in for Color Preferences?

2)your color syntax uses &, do you have the DB module open and a database open? Might be that it's looking for the database before looking for color codes, since & is used to refer to database columns. You can try turning off or changing this special character in the Scripting|Special Characters preferences.

3)use ` at the beginning of the line to force CMud to not parse the line.

both disabling the special character &, and disabling parsing both worked.

thanks
