[3.16b] Layout on fresh install

Layout not saved...
steps to reproduce:
1) Install cMUD Pro 3.16b to c:\cmud (choose settings stored in c:\cmud) license info was in clipboard before setup.exe was ran
2) create new session (in my case Aardwof , aardmud.org)
3) Save session
4) Edit session (tried to change the bitmap to a local aardwolf.bmp, crashed on import)
5) restarted cmud, edit Aardwolf session, click choose file for bmp (worked this time)
6) added use name and password to login stuff
7) save session
8) double click Aardwolf icon, login
9) #WIN Map;#WIN NPC;#WIN Chat;#WIN Other
10) Arrange windows
11) open status and arrange
12) open mapper and arrange
13) open database window... failed to dock it, just let if fall below main
14) turned off save layout automatically
15) locked layout
16) save session layout ... Session Layout Saved OK box
File Exit
run cmud
choose Aardwolf...
results in this image...
Windows XP, visual styles on (cmud just craps on layout without)(yes, still Zugg)
EDIT: oh, here is the Aardwolf.xly, i assume its the layout XML...

Turning back on auto save layout seems to solve this, but it's misleading if that's what is supposed to happen...
i would expect it to not update an already saved layout, i.e. if i want to play with re-arranging, but then i change my mind, i could just reload the session to be back to the last saved |

Yep, the issue is with turning off the autosave layout. The #SAVE command on the command line should still save the layout, but the Save Session Layout menu option does not. Added to bug list.

Yes, CMUD is not supported unless visual styles in XP are on. I tried to fix that long ago and failed. Since this effects a very small number of people, it's a very low priority and will probably never be fixed. |
