error with license key

i got a new laptop so when i redownloaded cmud and did the retrieve cmud license key, it gives me the name/key error message. Does anyone know if there is any issues currently with the validating licenses? i sent a email to support a week ago and didn't get a response so i sent another one today and wanting to see if anyone knows of any fixes in case it takes em 1-2 months to get back to me regarding it.

Don't know of any issues with validation. As far as I am aware, Zugg and Chiara are maintaining the 24/48-hour response time and are not on vacation, hosting family/friends, sick, or otherwise forced to let a backlog build up. They HAVE had issues with email, so I would guess yours never made it to them.

However, this is a holiday weekend and Zugg/Chiara generally don't work on weekends anymore as part of a lifestyle change (Zugg was getting really stressed out and sick over last-minute fixes to CMud, so at one point Chiara was literally locking him out of the office).

Chiara is out of the office today, but if you haven't heard back by tomorrow, let me know. I'll also check with her to see if she has already responded in case you are blocking our emails with spam protection or something. Our normal response time is 48 hours business time (so not weekends).

Also, make sure you are entering the correct license for the correct product. The most common cause of this error is entering a CMUD license into CMUDPro or vice-versa. Each product has it's own license key. Also check to see if zMapper is installed on your computer as CMUD will try to validate the zMapper license if it finds zMapper installed, and sometimes it is confusing to have CMUD asking for the zMapper license.

Those are the two issues that cover 99.9% of most license problems.
