cMUD repeatedly crashed my computer and i HATE HATE HATE the GUI. I decided to export my settings as XML because thats the only export option it gave me, and change to zMUD. so i installed zMUD and i cant seem to import my XML settings :( Is there some way i can access these settings or convert xml to .mud?

The only way to get your settings back into ZMud is to copy and paste them by hand from the Package Editor to the Settings Editor. There is no utility that will do it for you, and you will need to edit your settings to put back in the things ZMud required (ie, double quotes around %1).

What is it about the CMUD GUI that you hate so much? The zMUD GUI isn't very different.
Did you post your CMUD crashes over in the CMUD forum and did you send them via the "Send Bug Report" button on the crash error popup?
But as Matt said, there is no way to transfer your CMUD settings back to zMUD. CMUD was designed to be mostly backward compatible with zMUD to allow people to move forward, but I don't support going back to a 4-yr old program that doesn't work properly on Vista or Windows 7, so you are on your own with that. |
