removing the ?or $ from the pattern remove the error as well as adding braces around the 1

Confirmed and added to bug list. It's a bug in the trigger pattern parser.

This bug is back in 3.14 - and I dont know how to combat it?

Don't know how this snuck back in since I didn't make any changes to the #trigger command parser. But I'll put it back on the bug list.
