Nope, no way. It's probably the space reserved for the buttonface options (toolbar, inset, etc), and since you're not using them it looks like the gauge isn't filling up all the way.
Zugg can maybe fix it, but we definitely can't. |

It's actually already on the bug list. I believe it only happens when you have the Toolbar option selected for the gauge.
