The best way to run a dual mud setup

I used to run zmud on a single mud, and I had a fairly complex system setup. I had separate guild and player folders that would only be active if appropriate for that player, and used #cap to separate combat and communications from the main window. I also had a fairly sizeable map file (over 20,000 rooms) setup and would use macros to run to spots and run back (especially to dump donates, or restock guild supplies, etc).

Now what I would like to do is have this sort of setup going on 2 very similar muds at the same time. So far I've been trying to get the trial version running, and I've had several less than stellar attempts. Since I'll need the full version to use the new mapper, I went ahead and purchased it in order to have access to the multiple tracking points on a single map.

So what I would like to ask is what would be the best way to go about setting this up? I would prefer to have a single package that covers all the common points (so I don't have to remember to modify both sessions every time I want to change anything), as well as having both displaying on the screen at once. I plan to have both being tracked on the map at the same time.

Should I display 2 separate sessions on the screen at once? Or have a single session and run the 2 muds in separate windows?
Will it be a simple matter to have the mapper jump to the alternate location when I switch to the 2nd mud's window? (or would this need to be an Event onWindowFocus or something?)
While I'm here... I'd like to suggest onZoneEnter/Exit events in addition to the onRoomEnter/Exit events.

I'm sure I had other questions to ask in regards to this, but unfortunately I have a headache interfering with my thoughts atm :P

Thanks.

Edit: Is there a way to have triggers default to RegEx by default? (in the editor)

Zugg has, in the past, said that he would not be implementing this. But I think if we keep begging he'll do it. Pllleeeease Zugg!

Probably you will want to have two separate sessions, which can share packages and map. You can set up each session separately, then create a new "session" which opens up both of the other sessions at the same time. This new supersession can have a layout showing both command windows at the same time, however you want to set it up.

Since you are talking about using the beta version (with multiple locations on the map), this really belongs in the Beta forum. I will warn that simultaneous sessions on the same map is not as well tested as other things, because few beta testers do it. So, you would become a beta tester yourself, and expected to help figure out any problems that crop up. It should work fairly well, but, as I said, it's not as well tested.
