cMUD, Automapper, and Doors...Oh My!

Ok, I searched through the forums and didn't see anything...though admittedly, it is past 5:30am :)

Here is the deal...

Using cMUD 3.12 BETA...so not sure if this is a beta problem or not...but here goes:
I am creating a map of a zone, I can either type in "#DOOR e yew", right click on the link between the rooms and select door, or go into the room properties window for either room, select the room link and click on the door button, type the door type "yew". However, when I try to automap into the room, it ALWAYS does "open e;e". Which of course the mud replies with "What e?", then "You bump into the closed yew door."

How in the world do I get it to understand that the door to the east is a YEW door???

I appreciate any help with this.

You already did Step 1 (name your doors).

2)go to Map Configuration Settings (Config menu)

3)go to Strings and Doors
a)change %1 to %2 in the correct places
b)check the Only send door... option

Ok another thing...how do I turn off mapper??? I don't want it running or opening doors or whatever when I am cruising around to get to my zones.

Hmmmm...think I figured that out...just seems a little delicate...probably just a beta issue.

The mapper never turns completely off anymore, since the code that tracks your location is contained outside of the mapper module. This isn't too terribly important for an active mapping mode like follow or explore, but in OFF mode the map will still follow you around.

I didn't try seeing if room/zone/map scripts are disabled in off mode, but I don't really see it as being useful anymore.
