[3.12] Can't open location properties

Hi.
I often have the problem, that in 3.12 version I can't open the properties of locations by clicking icon on the mapper nor Edit/Properties.
I have to reset cMud to be able to do this.
It is very annoing :|
There isn't any error window or something that I could show you. Maybe this is some bug that Zugg can fix.
Best regards

You need to be in Mapping mode, not Follow mode. Follow mode will not allow you to edit anything.

It doesn't work even if I have mapping mode on.
The problem isn't that I can't save anything. The properties window just doesn't appear.

My guess is that you accidentally docked the properties window somewhere, perhaps on a window that isn't showing. Try opening your session without the layout, then opening the properties window. Exit the session. In the Sessions window, highlight the session, then hold down the SHIFT key while clicking Open Session Offline. You will probably have to recreate your layout and save it again.

Are you referring to the room properties window? Check to make sure that your layout is not locked. If it's locked, the only way to get it to show is via the Window menu on the main menubar. The other methods will open the window, but it doesn't get shown.

If layout is unlocked and the window still isn't appearing, check your other windows. If there's a stayontop feature activated, that window is perhaps hiding the room properties window. You have to move or un-stayontop that window.

Using Window/Room propertis works.
And using properties button on mapper or mapper's Edit/properties doesn't neither when the Layout is locked or not.
But now I have the other problem with mapper. It don't load when I open the session and I can't force it to do so.
Futhermore, when I close the session (but not the cMud), the Mapper window stays loaded and when I'm trying to open session once more, I get error:

Access violation at address .... in module 'cMudPro.exe'. Read of address .....

Re Rehab:
When I'm holding shift button and pressing 'Open session offline' an error appears and I can't open session.
I have the same problem a few days ago and I simply reinstall cMud. But as You can see, the problem came back.

Edit: Now my config doesn't open (error appear). Good I have a backup that works - looks like the problem isn't in cMud but in some things in config that are saved from session, that corrupts whole cfg.

Sounds like a serious problem with your map or configuration or something I can't help with. I hope someone else can help.

Once I try to open the map or room properties with the layout locked, I am then unable to open the map/room properties AT ALL, even if I unlock the layout, until I restart CMud.

Also, are there plans to change it back to being able to open windows normally with layout locked or is this working as intended? I personally find it really annoying.

What do you mean by opening windows normally? All my windows open just fine even when the layout is locked. The only thing I think maybe should be changed is that when the layout is locked the menu option seems to be the only way to reliably display the window. For the other ways (ie, the magnifying glass button to bring up room properties, pressing F1 to bring up the help window), sometimes the button will show the window and sometimes it won't.

Clicking on the button is "normal" for me, or right click on a room and select room properties. I can't get either of those ways to work with the map locked, and if I even try with the map locked they stop working altogether, even if the map is then unlocked. This is in 3.12, it worked in previous versions just fine.

I have confirmed this problem with a test session and have added it to the bug list. Not sure what changed in 3.12 to cause this, but it wasn't on purpose.
