[3.12] Crash.. Suddenly aliases don't work or exist any longer. |
Sometimes, as far as I can see in random situations, my system suddenly does forget about de aliases that are in there. In these occasions the names of the aliases that are triggered by my prompt are suddenly no longer executed but send to the mud. This results in a massive spam, for the aliasnames are not recognized by the mud and result in new lines with new prompts from the mud... which means I am in a loop.
Only way to fix it is to kill the Cmud program and restart it. After restarting all is back to normal and will work correctly. In the logs I can find nothing special at all which may be causing this.
Any ideas? |

try resetting the layout. Other things to look at are your window objects, particularly any duplicate windows that may have been created or any windows that don't seem to keep their properties set. They may look ok, but they might be corrupted. This CAN include your main window, but it's far more likely to be a child window instead.
Beyond that, there may be issues with stretching the limits of the docking system (I found that tabs within tabs seems to regularly crash cmud and corrupt the layout).
If windows aren't the problem, you might have some hidden triggers/aliases/etc that were created from corruptive influences. This is generally indicated by cutting and then pasting a setting back to the location it was in and geting the rename/delete/override window to pop up. You can try exporting, reviewing the XML for errors, and then reimporting to a new package. |
