It'll be because of the change made to make the command line static. Try playing with the size and positions of the buttons in the lower left hand corner to see if you can get rid of the separation.
As for the bottom of the letters they look fine to me in those pictures. |

There's usually some space between the last line and the status bar, there's definitely something going on in that screenshot.

The space between the last line and the status bar depends upon the exact height of your window. If CMUD can fit the lines into the window, then it will do so. Try resizing the window to be a bit taller and you should see some extra space added until you get to the next line height increment.
For the button gap on the left, it looks like you have the Position of the buttons set manually (turned off Auto Position). With the change in the command line, the height of the window is different now, so you might need to adjust the position of the buttons or turn on the Auto Position option.
Maybe I need a zoomed-in picture, but I don't see anything wrong with the screen shots. It just looks like CMUD is squeezing the maximum number of visible lines into your window and I don't see any text that is "cut off". |
