Zugg I'm sure these are still on your list, but I thought I'd point out a few that have been in my queue for a while.

I haven't seen too much activity of late. Is Zugg working on other projects?

When you don't hear from me, it's usually because I'm busy working. Right now my priority is on getting TeSSH released. These other bugs (especially with the mapper) are getting a lower priority right now and probably won't be addressed until Sept.

This past week I've been dealing with switching my merchant account and rewriting the PHP code in our shopping cart to deal with Authorize.net instead of the Verisign/PayPal PayFlowPro system that we have used for years. Instead of rewriting the ecommerce stuff to use the new PayPal API (the API that we were using was going to stop working on Sept 1st), I decided to switch merchant companies to save a bit on my monthly merchant fees. I still need to rewrite the ecommerce code for the SlightlyMorbid site to use the new merchant account. Then I'll be focused on getting the CMUD help system migrated into a TeSSH help system and getting the TeSSH web site and ecommerce stuff up and running.

That's a good message for PayPal: by *forcing* me to stop using their existing API, it caused me to re-evaluate my total merchant fees and to go with a different provider. After all, integrating a new provider was going to be just as much work as changing the PayPal API. And the last straw was when I was trying to get a hold of a *person* at PayPal and spent 20 minutes running around their automated phone system. With Authorize.Net I got a person right away who could help me with technical issues. So better support from a *real person* plus lower monthly fees? Switching was a no-brainer. Even if it did force me to deal with the PHP programming this week rather than a couple of weeks from now.

In general, see the "Zugg's To-Do list" on this forum for a list of all of the projects that I'm working on. And add to that the 2-3 hours each day that I spend on customer support (emails, etc) for existing customers.

Sorry this probably belonged in my Blog and not hijacking your thread, but you asked! :)

Bumping, as requested by Zugg.

I'd still recommend fixing the items in my High-Priority List above. The reasons for these being grouped together in the high priority list is as follows:

I recall back to when I was first using Zmud 7.21 and I recall that I had an absolutely horrible time trying to work around these 'other' exit and slow walking issues. I was never sure when it was me making a mistake and when it was the software that had the bug. Consequently I went along developing my code with a horrible mishmash of work-arounds and patches to try to handle the bugs listed above. Therefore, I don't think it improbable that many other people who use Muds with 'other' type exits have silently grappled with these issues as well, not knowing enough about the product to know whether it was their code, or their mud, or even a Cmud bug.

Thanks ReedN. I'm currently using your bug list to help with the prioritization of the next version.

In fact, I should be able to spend the entire day tomorrow (Thursday) working on your mapper bugs. I think I've got the other higher priority bugs for TeSSH fixed now, so I can spend a day or so on the biggest mapper issues.

What's the deal with using search within the package editor still significantly lagging Cmud? Even if you close the package editor, if you don't clear the search it still lags. It's really annoying when you're trying to search/edit triggers while playing. Sometimes it's so bad that I can't interact with Cmud at all.

I think i'm going to second Tech's oponion, you've gone on quite a bug squishing spree here, hopefully some of the mapper bugs go as quickly!

Please make a separate bug report post about this. I have not seen this problem at all. I'll need a procedure to reproduce it, and will probably need you to send me the package file that is causing the problem.

Worked on several of these today. Man, these were some tough bugs to fix. The "Other direction" code in CMUD is pretty complicated and a bit kludged in places. But I have the following fixed in v3.11 so far:

[3.10 Pro] Existing 'other' type exit stubs ignored when a new room is created
http://forums.zuggsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33780

[3.10 Pro] Lack of exit stubs for type 'other' exits
http://forums.zuggsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33697

[3.10a Pro] Wrong direction sent for doors when a long direction value exists
http://forums.zuggsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33797

[3.10a Pro] %roomlink isn't working for 'other' type exits
http://forums.zuggsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33789

along with a few others I found a long the way. Will still work on some more tomorrow if I have time before the release.

Awesome, this will be a very exciting release for me. Thanks!

You've also got me curious what other bugs you found along the way.

Let's see...

1) A crash when looking up a setting name that happened to be the last setting in the index (it tried to go past the index to look for more matching settings). This was the most major *new* bug that I ran into during the testing of your specific bugs.

2) The "Only Send Door Name" setting in the mapper not working (reported somewhere in this forum, but I didn't save a link)

3) Saving the map to the same file name using SaveAs corrupted map (also reported somewhere in the forums)

4) #find not working unless in Map mode ( http://forums.zuggsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33783 plus others)

5) #loop also not working (same issue as #4, but additional fix needed)

6) serious crash in Map.GetGrid with hidden map windows (many posts)

7) crash when importing an old *.MDB map file that contained zone scripts (email from Nexela)

8) File/Open was always opening new *.DBM file instead of selected *.MDB file when both files existed in same directory (reported somewhere in forums)

9) #LMAP not working at all (somewhere in forums)

10) reverse path containing .(command) not working ( http://forums.zuggsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33971 )

Those are the other mapper bugs that I fixed the past couple of days that were not listed in this post yet. It was a very busy day.
