Aliases and Triggers don't save

Hi...I'm a long-time ZMUD user. When using CMUD, none of my aliases and triggers stay after I close CMUD. When I start it again, they're all gone.

This could be for any number of reasons, check the following:

1) Make sure that the triggers you are using are being edited under the session you are playing in.
2) If you have Vista/Windows 7, make sure that you've installed CMUD to a directory where it has the ability to write to, such as My Documents/My Games/CMUD/etc.
3) Try manually saving your session settings and locating where that file is being saved.
4) When you exit CMUD, be sure that you are properly quitting the application, and not killing the process or anything.
5) When you change a trigger, click the [Save] box in the Package Editor window.

If any of these don't help, let me know. :)

Click the Edit Session action for your character and go to the Files/Packages tab. That will tell you the exact filename and path that your scripts are being stored. As Tarken mentioned, be sure you have permission to write to that directory and file.

Also remember to always mention what version of Windows you are using and what version of CMUD.
