[3.28] Unable to start CMUD |
Just loaded v3.28 onto a new laptop running Windows 7 and got the error message;
<directory root on my computer where CMUD data exists>/sessions.db is not a valid SQLite database
Sent an error report and got an email back saying delete the file sessions.db
Got similar messages around default.db and mud.db - so deleted these
Now getting the error message:
This operation is not valide because the current image contains no valid header.
Continuing application gives the following error messages:
Access violation at address 009F37F3 in module 'cMUD.exe'. Read of address 00000048
Access violation at address 009F30F3 in module 'cMUD.exe'. Read of address 00000048
Access violation at address 00403F27 in module 'cMUD.exe'. Read of address 00000000
The application loads and continues churning out error messages, and sessions cannot be opened.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling without any change. |

Delete your entire CMUD folder and reinstall. I am not seeing any problem like this on a fresh install on our Windows 7 machines here. When you install CMUD, be sure you are using the Admin account on your computer. Also be sure you select the %DOCUMENTS% option for the location of the User Session Data files when asked by the installer.
I would also reboot your computer in case Windows has the SQLITE3.DLL file locked for some reason. It sounds like it is not able to open any database files for some reason, but nobody else is reporting any problem like this. |

Uninstalled and deleted the entire folder and reinstalled, now working.
Thanks |
