Problems running ZMud in Ubuntu

I have recently switched several of my computers to the Ubuntu operating system version 10.10 and am attempting to run the latest ZMud on it. Everything installed just fine, and registration worked. When I start up ZMud however it seems to not want to load any of the modules. I just see the starting screen... anyone have a way to resolve this?
