[3.10a] Simultronics Login Window Missing.

I'm not sure what has gone wrong, but i can no longer get the login Window to appear when i try to connect to GemStone IV.
I had tried to reconnect to an old session that had disconnected, which worked fine, but as soon as I had logged in, there was another login window.
Upon closing it i was disconnected again.
So I closed CMUD entirely, reopened the session... and no login window.
Is there a way for the user to force this window to appear? |

Check your Simutronics preferences. My GSL Mode was set to STORM, and this caused me to get kicked off at login. When I set it to PLAY, I was able to connect per normal.
I play DR, of course, but I'm not sure GSIV would be any different on this level. |

That doesn't seem to help.
It seems to be hanging on the lil splash screen that says 'Status: Connecting to the EACCESS server', and goes no further. |

I tried making a new session as a workaround. But that failed as well, still no login window.

Shalimar, make sure you have your hostname and port set up correctly. I know for Modus Operandi it's eaccess.play.net|MO; I'm guessing it should be |GS at the end for GemStone? I'm not sure what the port number would be for GemStone.

It was connected just fine beforehand, like I said, CMUD just refuses to open the login window for me anymore, it hangs for about 20-30 seconds and then disconnects. |

How about looking at the documentation: simutronics
According to that, your HostName should be EACCESS.PLAY.NET|GS3 |

Well i had been connecting just fine from the host i had, but the new host has let the login pop back up. Thanks.

Sounds like Simutronics changed their servers around and stopped accepting connections to the previous server name.
