[solved] mxp, send command and aliases? |
I really hate to post this as Zugg is JUST about to release a new version but... I think i've found 2 bugs with mxp
Code: |
<alias name="b" id="1611">
<value>#show A </value>
</alias>
<alias name="a" id="1610">
<value>#print alias a fired</value>
</alias>
|
I started in my current mud session, where I can replicate problem 1) after running alias 'a' and 'b', clicking on the mxp 'A' does not execute alias a, instead a is sent to the mud.
Then when I copied that over to a blank session, i was.... entirely unable to get it to actually render the mxp, I keep getting "<send 'a'> A </send>" sent to the screen. No matter how much i fiddle with the mxp settings it still just sends "<send 'a'> A </send>" to the screen.
Am I just missing something stupid? |

Complete example please. I don't see your #mxp command anywhere in your example. At this late stage with the beta, you need to make this trivially easy for me to reproduce.

Sorry, Just figured out first problem I didn't have the allow commands in MXP menus, I know I had had it enabled at one point. I wasn't using #mxp, didn't think I needed too.
Echo the text to the screen like the #SHOW command. However, Secure MXP commands are allowed in the text. See this article for details on using MXP commands, and for examples.
but...I don't see <send> in the list of open mxp commands.... and thinking about that, i think i recall that my mud locks the secure mode, eyeroll. NTS, use #MXP
So no problem with cmud. Sorry for false alarm. |

Yeah, I was just going to ask you about your "Allow commands in MXP menu" setting :)
Glad to hear it was a false alarm. One less thing to worry about tonight. |
