Settings Problems

Other than the occasional random lockups with 3.08 I have been rather pleased. I was using Outpost Pro Firewall with it set to allow everything for Cmud and got alot of lockups where I could not even close the process. This got better for the most part when I disabled the firewall and then went away almost entirely when I decided to try uninstalling the program. Now my system and/or cmud 3.08 only locks up once every few hours. But whatever, I havent been able to figure out if it's something I am doing or not and I understand it is a beta so I am not too concerned about that unless I can figure out what's causing it on my end so I can report.

However one common problem I do have with 2.38 pro and 3.08 pro is that occasionally in the settings manager for triggers/aliases etc. I will go to make a new setting and it will not show up in anywhere or I will get stuck at a root folder for the settings browser. I was just curious if anyone else is experiencing this? If it's my system then whatever but... if not... well you know :)

It seems to occur if I make a new setting save and close the settings window and go back to mudding. If a bit later I need to make another what i described above occurs.

Have you activated one of the settings filters?

Click the magnifying glass on the left hand side of the tree view to turn the filters off and see all settings.

Are you using any other packages or windows? When you click the Settings button, the editor shows the setting for the currently active package and window. So maybe your active window is getting set to something that doesn't have any settings?

Next time it happens, try going to the View menu in the settings editor and select "Show Default packages". This will show *all* packages as tabs and you should also be able to click on the "All" tab to show all settings.
