CMud load error if video is running

Every so often I launch CMud and it freezes at the part where the splash screen displays "Converting Character Database". I'vefinally worked out what the problem is. If I'm running a Youtube video or any other video file in any other app while CMud is being launched, it locks up.

Windows 7

I cannot reproduce this problem at all. I ran a Youtube video in both Firefox and Internet Explorer and launched CMUD and didn't have any problem. Sounds like something more specific to the sound or video drivers on your computer. Or maybe it's an issue with Windows 7? I tested on Vista and XP. Can anyone else reproduce this?

The "Converting Character Database" is displayed when CMUD is trying to load the SQLITE.DLL database file. I've seen cases in Vista where it can get an error loading SQLITE.DLL if the DLL is still locked from some other application. Rebooting Windows fixes this problem, so you might try rebooting to see if it also fixes your problem.

I have in the past rebooted the OS to get CMud running but specifically I found it was the video. I'm not sure why but closing down Firefox or WMP let CMud load, even though I'd tried multiple times while I had the video window open. I'll try later with WMP playing uadio and WMP playing specific video and WMPopen but not doing anything, and see if I can reproduce it.

I use CMUD and Windows 7, and I've always been able to open up CMUD while watching videos from any site, and using any application.

I think it's something more related to your system, cuprohastes.

Quite possibly if no one else is having this problem, but I didn't know until I posted that it was just me. That's WHY I posted.

Could be a problem with your video drives... Try updating them
