Zmud map strange symbol |
Hi
Sometimes when i playing, actually very often i get the symbol 'ù' in the middle of my text and this of course throws the mapper out of sync.
I also get it when not using the mapper and without triggers on. It's always the symbol ù
Any solutions or reasons?

When it begins a line can you make a prompt trigger for it and insert a newline? Or #TAG the rest of the trigger the room name? I have no idea how the mapper would react, or if it could still parse the title; my mud has a 3rd party mapper that I did not have to do anything with.
Is that mud sent garbage? Is Windows charset switching? Did you use any odd charsets? I know nothing about them but when I tried spanish letters on mine zmud font behaved oddly at times, I don't know if it was due to the spanish options though. |

I would guess it most likely that there is a buffer problem in the code of your MUD somewhere that is prepending/appending garbage characters onto some text strings. I've seen it many many times when a buffer isn't properly cleared before being reused.
