[3.05] Room Properties Dialogue

The room properties dialogue is pretty badly behaved in this version. I created a new session with a new map, and went into edit mode by clicking the button on the toolbar. I dropped two rooms into the map and drew a link between them with the tool on the edit toolbar. Then I rclicked on one of them and chose Properties from the list. The properties dialogue came up, but the whole right side was missing - it was just a blank white space, where the room description would be if it had one.

Dragging the properties box around made the toolbar appear, but it took a few tries. Opening and closing the dialogue didn't fix the problem. Similarly, when I resized the dialogue, it didn't actually redraw - the border of the window expanded, but the window didn't fill the new space. Here's a screenie - the bottom most blue line is the one that's clickable to make the window resize.

You have an extra "mystery" button in the caption bar of the room properties window in your screenshot. Where does this icon come from? Looks like you might be running some other enhancement software that is messing up the window.

Since the Room Properties is also a dockable window, it might be a problem with the layout file, so you can use the "hold SHIFT and click the Open Offline" trick to clear out the layout, or try a new session. Try docking the room properties and then undocking to see if you can find a way to reproduce this.

I don't have any trouble on either my Vista or XP box here, so there is something different on your computer or in your session causing this. See what you can learn more about this...I'd like to get it fixed before the public release if I can track it down.

But basically the Room Properties window should be acting like any other dockable window in CMUD.

It looks like the nVidia drivers stuff to me.

That's from ultramon, but I'll try with CMUD on its exception list and see if it goes away, and keep an eye on the problem in general.
