I believe that eventual the mapper configurations will be in an entirely different format that will be shareable via the package library. However, I believe the .ini and .zfg files in the session/map folder contain most/all of the mapper settings.

I'll take a look at this. Since phase 2 of the new mapper was going to be focused on the mapper configuration, I was leaving a lot of those details until then. But something as simple as exporting the configuration should still be working now and I'm not sure how it got broken. But I'll fix it for the public version.
