Hmm, this should be stored with your location object. Is it really not saving, or is the checkbox in the portal dialog box just not getting updated properly?

I can't actually tell you when the cycle started, but I noticed my portals weren't working and found that the "disable all portals" box was checked. At one time I had explicitly checked the box and quit CMUD with it set, so I thought I had just forgotten to uncheck it. However, next time I brought CMUD up I found that the box was checked again. This cycle repeated until I deleted the map setting and forced the map object to be re-created. Now it "remembers".
EDIT: Once I connected to the MUD, the flag was set again so I had to manually remove it. So somehow, between loading and connecting the flag comes back. |

Possibly a duplicate of the several other posts with problems saving mapper settings?

Perhaps it is related, gamma_ray, I don't know. As to whether it is saving the flag state or not, I would say yes. I think there are 2 related problems or I mis-stated the original one. This is what is happening now. I find the box checked, so I uncheck it and portals are accessed normally. I quit CMUD and then re-start, the flag is unchecked. However, my first attempt at using a portal will fail (it will execute a non-portal speedwalk) so I look at the box and it is again checked. This cycle repeats. I think I just assumed that the flag value wasn't being saved. But know I look at the flag as soon as the mapper is loaded and it is unchecked at the start of the session, becomes checked sometime afterward, I have determined that it happens either at or just after connect time.

I am bumping this because the problem is solid. When I end use of CMUD, the disable all portals box is unchecked. When I then bring up CMUD again, the box is still unchecked. However, after I connect to the MUD, the flag becomes checked. So I am assuming that the setting is kept in two places and they are out of synch. Note that I always start CMUD with my session offline.
