Command Line Docking |
I wondered if anyone had this issue before:
I accidentally dragged my command line and undocked it from the Main window, now I use several connection windows for multiple characters. When i try to redock the command line it wants to dock it at the very bottom off the screen and is shown beneath all the windows and not just that main window. I can't seem to dock it at the bottom of the character window. has anyone else had this problem? and how do you fix it? maybe i am just missing something.
this is the new 2.25 |

It's happened to me too. The only solution I got was holding shift down at connection which resets your layout (meaning you have to make it again)

Yeah, I don't know what to do about that. Each MUD window has docking spots along the edges, but so does the main application window. And I can't see any way in the docking system to give the docking edges in the MUD window a higher priority than the ones on the outside application window. So it always redocks to the main application window.
But two hints:
1) If you have just undocked the command line, double-clicking on it's grabber on the left should re-dock it back to where it was.
2) You can probably undock the MUD window, then drag the command line back to the bottom of the MUD window, then redock the MUD window. Double-clicking the caption or tab for the MUD window will dock/undock it.
P.S. This shouldn't be new in 2.25...it's the way the 3rd party docking system has always worked in CMUD. |

Thanks... Holding shift worked... Zugg - i will try option 1 if it happens again, but I did try option 2 and that did not work, it did not allow the command line to dock to the lower portion of the undocked window, not sure why though.
thanks again |

I'll add that to the bug list. It should work when the window is undocked, so maybe that's the bug that is causing the problem in the first place. Thanks for the report.

I also had a problem with undocked windows, but I used your suggestion of holding down shift while connecting and it worked like a charm!
Thanks. |
