Problem - Output window is gone. Completely gone. |
I was sitting on a chair minding my own buisness, happily mudding when my chair betrayed me and pushed a button (I think) causing my output window to disappear completely. My friendly black-hued connection to the world is now gone. I tried pushing several of the buttons in a frenzy but the closest that came to reuniting me with compaionship was the plus button, which made my window normal again (the window had been reduced to the blue bar with the name of the mud and the port, as well as the resizing buttons, and the input line below it), however, where the output window was was just grey. No friendly black background. No multi-hued text. Just grey.
How do I fix this? Please help! |

I often struggle with layout so am not the best help, besides I hardly follow what you mean. My first thought is that the window is snapped into it's absolute minimum vertical size. If that is so can you mouse-over it and drag it back into reality. The second thought is that it is hidden behind the main window which is 'on top' and needs to be released. Sometimes I can't move windows at all until I find their handles which isn't always apparent.
Anyway did I just read about corrupted layout files in the forum here? Can you just delete that? I am pretty sure you would find the thing restored. What the procedure or file for that is, I dunno. So you did not hear me say anything about that. :P
Hey good luck, you could always try a new blank mud and use your old mud file for it, i suppose |

Try:
1. View->Preferences->General.
2. General->User Interface ->Window options.
3. Make sure 'MUD Output' is checked.
Edit: Corrected instructions so they are for zMUD and not cMUD . |
