[3.03] Bug: %pathfrom not working |
Not sure what's happened here - this was working in 3.02, but... here are some steps.
1. Open CMUD.
2. Escape to Untitled.
3. Open Mapper.
4. Put Mapper in Edit mode.
5. Select the room box and place two rooms anywhere in the mapper.
6. Join the two by linking them with any exits.
7. Set your current position in one of the rooms (I choose room one for simplicity).
8. On the command line, type #SAY %pathfrom(,2) --> It returns nothing, even though with my mapper, it should have returned .e.
9. On the command line, type #SAY %pathfrom(1,2) just in case something got mucked up. Still returns nothing.
This is probably related to the double-clicking post located here. I chose to put it as a separate post because this one seems to maybe narrow it down a bit.

When you are using the Untitled session, the English Directions package is not loaded. You need to create a New Session and then test it. I am not having any problem with this in a proper session.

Weird. Unless the English Direction packages have been corrupted, then it's not working for me period in an existing mapper session. I'll double-check when I get home to make sure all is right, but it wasn't working last I checked, and the package is enabled. :\

I just tested it in a new session. Followed the steps above, except actually created a new session instead of untitled.
I'm wondering if it's a corruption of the English Directions Package that is causing the problem. Don't know what it could be that is corrupting it, but I was not able to get #SAY %pathfrom(,2) to work period.
Unless the English Packages wouldn't have anything to do with it... I'm able to still move about, and the mapper follows me, but it won't #WALK, %pathfrom, or anything...

OK, I looked into this and I can confirm the same problem now. It works fine in my development directory but not when I install and test the actual released version. I have no idea what is causing this yet, but I'm looking into it.
Edited: Should be fixed in the 3.03a version now |
