Triggers not firing. |
I have been using zMUD for about 10 years, and today I just seem to be having problems. My triggers seem to not be firing. After some deliberation, I thought I had figured it out, and they began firing, only to soon cease firing again. Any ideas?

Made any changes? Nothing simple like triggers disabled (cross over the gun icon in the bottom right)?
Also, which zMUD version and which Windows version? |

Typical reasons for triggers working and then not working:
1)you are using multi-state triggers. These matched the first state's line, but then something happened in a subsequent state that didn't match what you had (and ZMud's still waiting for the lines that will never come).
2)You have a forgotten trigger that uses the #IGNORE command, which turns off triggers. This would be made obvious by a red X appearing in the lower right on the gun icon.
3)there's a red X on the gun icon in the lower right. This is identical to #3, but was caused by an errant mouseclick or keypress.
Beyond that, you're probably suffering from minor corruption issues that have built up over time to create bigger impacts. Look into the Migration Guide, redoing your layout files, and reinstallation. |
