Currently not getting any crash dump reports |
I logged into my help-desk system and realized that I have not been getting any crash dumps for the past several days. At the beginning of the week I upgraded our online help-desk software. I had just thought nobody was reporting any 2.37 issues (there were not many crashes being reported). But now that 3.01 is out, I realized that my crash dump system is no longer writing entries into the help-desk database.
They probably made some database change that is causing my scripts that submit the crash dump to fail.
I'm not going to be able to fix this until Monday or Tuesday, so for now it will be helpful if you can go ahead and post the crash dump to the forums. Don't worry about posting stuff related to the blank map bugs. But if you find something else that you think is important, copy/paste the crash dump into a CODE tag in your forum post.
Hopefully on Monday I can figure out what changed in the help-desk database to cause it to fail. Yeah, just what I wanted to spend time on ;(
EDIT: Don't forget to remove whatever personal information appears in the upper section. |

The crash dump system is working again now, so feel free to resume sending report.
If you have problems sending crash dumps, remember that the crash dump system uses the Windows WININET.DLL file, which is a library designed to access the Internet via Internet Explorer. So if you are behind a proxy server or firewall and you do not normally use Internet Explorer, you might need to run Internet Explorer manually (via Start/Run "iexplore.exe") to set your proxy and firewall settings there. You can also access these options via the Internet Options control panel in Windows. |
