I was looking in the various languages available for aliases and whatnot, looking for Perl, which I could SWEAR was there before. However, it no longer exists. Or am I mistaken and Perl was never any part of CMUD? If it was, why was it removed?

Perl was never in CMUD - the only languages CMUD supports directly are zScript and Lua. The other languages in the list come from the Windows Script Host, which Perl can be added to. You probably had ActivePerl installed and don't any more.

You were right, I didn't have ActivePerl installed anymore. However, I installed it again, restarted CMUD, and it still doesn't show up... Any suggestions?

No suggestions? I've tried reinstalling ActivePerl twice, and it still doesn't show up in CMUD. Am I simply missing a step?

CMUD accesses it's other languages using the Windows Scripting Host. You can try updating that component

ActivePerl works fine for me here, so I'm not sure what is wrong. As Tech said, CMUD just looks for any scripting language installed into the Windows Scripting Host...it doesn't do anything specific for ActivePerl. If you are using Vista, maybe you need to install ActivePerl using the "Run as Admin" to allow it to create the proper registry entries?

Weird, because there is no option to "Run as Admin" for me, which is understandable, since all my accounts are administrator accounts. It installed just fine, so still not sure what the problem was. When I get back home tonight, I'll test it out again and see if I might be able to determine the problem.

Are you using Vista, or XP. I said above that "If you are using Vista...". If you are using Vista and you don't have a Run As Admin option, then something is seriously wrong.

If you are on XP, then you don't need to "Run as Admin" if you are using a normal admin account. But in that case it should be updating your registry entries just fine when you install ActivePerl, so I have no idea what else might be wrong.

Right. I should have mentioned I am on Vista. Not sure why I don't have a "Run as Admin" option. Odd indeed. But I found it was an error on my part, regardless. After I installed ActivePerl the second time, I didn't close CMUD out and start it back up again. Once I did that, Perl was put back into the list.
