I have noticed at times, i can go to the forum page and not see the sidebar with recent posts... (usally on first logging in, and updating profile).

And now i have figured out why.

1. http://forums.zuggsoft.com/forums/index.php
2. http://forums.zuggsoft.com/index.php?page=2

The two pages are identical except 1. doesn't have the recent posts.
On both of them the Forums link within the sidebar points at itself, however the top menu Forum always directs to 2.

Yes, that's normal. Our forums are implemented using the PHPBB forum system. The rest of our site uses a modified "MX Portal" content management system. The side-bar is a module of the Portal system and is not a direct part of PHPBB. So if you go to the PHPBB system directly (using #1) then you don't see the side-bar. But when you go into the forums via the portal code (using #2) then the sidebar is displayed.

Most of the links on the site point through the portal system, but there might still be some internal links within the PHPBB system that still point to itself. Without a lot of work to rewrite this entire site, I'm afraid you'll need to live with it for now.
