Well CMUD proper I suppose could be installed on a flash drive maybe, but it would still require installing on every machine you use, so it's fine if you just want to move your settings around (in which case, maybe you could just install your data files there anyway), but it doesn't mean you can use CMUD wherever you want. CMUD Lite would probably work on a flash drive, but that's not going to be out for some time since Zugg is working on the new mapper at the moment, and then I think he'll be onto the MyMUDs.com project (but it's a bit early to tell).
EDIT: However, if using a flash drive just to put your settings on, it's probably best to synchronize when you need instead of just storing them there because flash drives have a limited number of writes before they die and CMUD does quite a number of writes. I'm not sure if you can still switch off autosaving... |
