Simutronics hp, mana, spirit variables not getting detected... |
I just decided to try and make hp, mana, and spirit gauges for DragonRealms in CMUD. I know nothing about GSL yet so I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I figured these would be easy to start with since they are automatically detected and saved to @hp, @maxhp, @mana, @maxmana, @spirit, and @maxspirit variables.
The problem is it doesn't look like those variables are being automatically detected and saved. :-/ I might have deleted the System folder early on if that helps, but only because there was nothing in it.
Under Simutronics preferences, I have Enable GSL emulation checked. GSL client is zmud. GSL mode (is this a new thing?) said nothing at first, then when I was trying to get it to work I set it to PLAY. I set it back to nothing again when it didn't do anything. The variables are set as I listed above.
I tried manually creating the System class and GSL subclass, but no variables appeared. I tried manually creating the variables, but their values are never set to anything. I have @hp, @mana, and @spirit set as gauge captions, but no numbers are ever displayed there (since the variables have no value).
I don't know if the game only bothers to send this info when it changes or something, so I stood around casting spells to force it. My mana never changed, variable stayed empty.
What am I missing? Thanks for any help. :-) |

Ah, nevermind. Apparently this only works for GemStone, not DragonRealms.
