[2.30] Access Violations

I am frequently getting access violation error messages and I have no idea how to get rid of them. There are three types of situations in which they pop up (every now and than)
1) When moving into another area with the mapper in following mode. (occurs frequently)
2) After leaving my mud at the moment I want to quit Cmud. (about 30% of the times. the longer I have been playing the bigger the chances get that this happens)
3) When moving to another room (within the same area) with the mapper in following mode. (not very frequenlty but when this happens it keeps happening almost every step I make untill I restart Cmud)

If someone could tell me where to look for the cause or the solution, thanks in advance. At this moment I have no idea what to look for.

Sounds like either corrupted packages or corrupted maps. Have you tried creating new packages? And does this happen under a new session?

I am mainly worried about my maps. Is there a way to open the .MDB file and see if it is corrupted and if it can be repaired?

Easiest way is to open a new session and open the map. Then connect and move around, see if you get that same error. As for repairing, not sure. :\ You could try compacting the database to see if that might fix it, but don't hold me to it.

There is also an MDAC Repair Utility from Microsoft on the http://www.zuggsoft.com/data page.

Crashing while moving on the map is usually caused by problems with Room Scripts, so check to see if you have any rooms with scripts in them.
