It says its there, but there is no cmd line for me to write anything into. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling 2.29 and that has failed so far, any other suggestions?

Ok well I close cmud, reopened it. edited my sessions to not use saved layout and i got cmd line back. But i had another person who seem'd to have same problem.

When your layout gets messed up like this, just hold down the SHIFT key when you click the "Open Offline" or "Connect" options. This will cause CMUD to create a new layout file for your session.

Turning off the "use saved layout" isn't a good long-term solution since it prevents CMUD from ever saving any changes you make to your layout.

Also, if you accidentally turn off your command line (like via the right-click Window Options menu), you can always turn it on again via several methods: 1) You can open the settings editor, click on the name of the window, and then enable the "Command line" option box. Or, you can right-click on the main menu or toolbar and select the toolbar bar called "Session toolbar: windowname". If none of these methods work, then using the SHIFT option mentioned above will reset the layout.
