Vista problems?

I've had my HP Pavilion laptop since last June, and I have used cMUD ever since then. Just recently, it has totally stopped working. I uninstalled/re-installed it, but while reinstalling it, it stops at "Execute: "C:\Program Files\CMUD\CMUD.Exe" /REGSERVER". I know that others have had this problem, but the latest post I can find about it is from last July. Are there any fixes to this yet? I don't see why it would all of a sudden stop working, really. Although it started acting up when I started using Firefox 3.0, I seriously doubt that's what's causing it. If worse comes to worst, I could totally wipe my computer (I have the vista disc from HP for my computer, and it has worked before), but I don't really want to do that. Anyone?

Did you make sure you installed Vista as administrator (or at least ran the install with administrative privileges)?
