2.26 Simple tiny Request regarding HTML logging. |
A setting to click to allow HTML logging WITHOUT logging mxp. (( seeing it seems that a LOT of MXP info can make cmud crash )) and it won't let me send the crash log :/

Hmm, the problem with that is if you are using MXP, then the MXP COLOR tag is very important in producing a color log file. I'd rather figure out why MXP is causing the crash. Can you turn on the Script Debugger (in the Window menu) to see exactly what MXP string is causing the log file to crash? Or when the crash appears, click the Show Error button and go to the Stack Dump and copy/paste the info into CODE tags within this forum so I can see it.

well that was easy........didn't even need to begin logging the moment I turned on mxp it did it.
slight note, cmud 'tries' to keep going but it is at snail pase.

This is odd because I don't even see any MXP codes in your dump. Make sure the "Raw Input/Output" message is turned on in the Script Debugger Messages menu and try the dump again so that I can see the raw data from the MUD.

the error seems pretty consistant now, i turn on mxp, and do a "map" for mudbot and boom. crash and such. there's the code from both again.
cmud error.

Seeing I_Mapper is my code too, (though zmud never had this problem) I can give you the exact code for mpelm if you want it.

OK, looks like the MUD is sending a custom MXP tag called "mpelm". Go into your Preferences and select the MXP page, then click on the MXP Elements tab. In the list of tags you should see an entry for "mpelm". Copy the line for that tag that is shown into the forum so that I can see what the MUD has set it to.

Btw, I *did* find the location in the code indicated by the crash dump and found a case where it could generate that error and have fixed that in v2.26.

below is the program code for the mpelm tag.
<!element mpelm '<send \"map path &v;|room look &v;\" " "hint=\"&r;|Vnum: &v;|Type: &t;\">' ATT='v r t'>
cmud shows under mxp elements.
<mpelm '<send \"map path &v;|room look &v;\" "hint=\"&r;|Vnum: &v;|Type: &t;\">' (v r t)>
cmud shows under mxp elements. |

It may not matter to you, but you may want to cut out your personal information there in your crash dumps when you post them on the forum for the world to see.
