v2.26 ETA |
I'm going to wait until next week to release the new 2.26 version. There are still several bugs on the list that I want to fix in that version. Some of the bugs have taken longer than I expected to track down, so I'm not going to be ready to release tonight like I originally planned, sorry.

Just to bump and update this thread.
I am still programming like crazy trying to fix more bugs. I've spent some time on a couple of new features (like the URL style and Parse Arguments option for aliases). But mostly it's bug fixes.
Today was a very frustrating day because I found more bugs in how CMUD handles the internal "Style" colors. I found this when I implemented the URL Style, but the problem was present with other styles. The main difference is that other styles (like the Command echo style) always used an entire line, whereas the URL Style can be embedded within another line. And there were bugs handling embedded styles like this.
I hate working on the Styles code. It was a struggle to get it working with the existing ANSI and HTML color stuff in CMUD back when I added it last year, and the code isn't very easy to understand. Hopefully I haven't created any new ANSI color bugs or MXP bugs because of my "bug fixes" in 2.26. I always get nervous when I'm working on low level code like this.
Anyway, still some other bugs to fix tomorrow, but I'm actually hoping to have the release tomorrow (Thursday) instead of Friday. Keep your fingers crossed. |

I have released the new 2.26 version.
There have been a *lot* of bug fixes in this version. See the Version History for details as always. And be sure to create NEW POSTS for any bugs or problems and include [2.26] in their subject line.
Because so much changed in this version, I am not updating the automatic update message in CMUD yet (the message you get when you check for new versions). I'm just going to let people from the forums download the new version and try it. If there are not any critical issues, then I'll update the Check New version data so that existing CMUD customers will "see" the new version.
Crossing my fingers that this version is a good as I'm hoping it is. I used it for several hours today and didn't have any trouble. But let me know.
Edited: Be back in around an hour after a dinner break. |
