Do you have the English Directions package loaded and enabled for the window you are testing that in? Have you defined your own set of directions for that window?

Works for me. I use it in some of my scripts and the test that you posted runs fine also. I suspect that Vijilante has the right idea and that your (English) directions package is either disabled, missing or corrupted.
