Gagging password? |
When I set up my auto-login, I put in my password, let's call it "cherry". In the game, I changed my password, but now whenever I type the word "cherry", the line doesn't go through. For instance, I couldn't say to someone, "I'm eating a cherry." How do I disable this?

First, you should always choose a password that isn't a normal word or something the MUD might display. It is very easy for hackers to use a dictionary to crack your password and get into your MUD character.
But if you still want to turn off the gag password feature, go into the Preferences and click on the Scripting page and turn off the option called "Do not display password text". |

My password wasn't cherry, that was just an example. My password was an extremely long Swedish word :p
Thank you! |

Swedish or extremely long not withstanding, I believe the point being made is that if it's a common enough word that you're actually using it and noticing that it's being gagged, it's probably not a "safe" word to use as a password.
In either case, follow Zugg's instructions and it shouldn't end up being gagged any longer. |

The reason I had noticed it was because I was trying to tell somebody my password after selling my char. Thanks
