Here is some more information that I hope will help someone understand what is going on...
When I install CMUD (any version) it will register on the server.
If it connects then, why wont it connect to muds?

okay, i guess i didnt post that right.
It will register on the CMUD COM SERVER. So it connects when I install, but not after.
This is crappy cause now nonoe of my versions will connect. I uninstalled everything cmud and reinstalled.

IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Freakin' Zone Alarm, free firewall, wasn't blocking CMUD, but was blocking CMUD 225. It wasn't showing up on the list, only CMUD was...
Weird stuff.
Maybe because it was loaded as CMUD225, and not just CMUD?
Glad that is fixed. I can relax and play, finally!!! |

Make sure your anti-virus and firewall are set to allow CMUD's traffic. |

I assume you have a firewall; have you tried disabling it? |
*sigh*
Oh well, I'm glad you got it working, anyway. Also, FYI, the CMUD COM Server isn't a server in the sense of an internet server. You can read more about COM here, but the gist of it is that CMUD makes certain information available to other applications via COM, which is called being a COM server. |

Check out that firewall.
It was without a doubt disabled.
No idea why it was still blocking stuff.
Thanks for the help. Have a nice day.

I'm assuming you live in the US so if you're willing to pay for a return flight from the UK I'll come and fix it! |
A simple way to help people over a distance is to use the built-in Remote Assistance feature of Windows XP. A very good way to help the environment by skipping unnecessarily flight trips . |
